All babies experience a
big problem when their teeth are come. Teething is
nothing but growth of teeth through gums.
Teething usually start after 6 months and happens at
interval during first 3 years.
- The teeth in the
upper jaw erupt earlier as compare to those in
the lower central incisors.
- The lower
central incisors appear, commonly between the
ages 5 to 9 months sometimes vary from infants
to infants.
- The upper
central incisors appears a month later and the
lateral incisors usually within the next 3
months depend upon first lower central incisors.
- The molar teeth
appear around the age of 12 to 15 months,
preceding the eruption of canine teeth by 6
months, which appear between the age 18 to 21
months. In this manner babies teeth are erupt.
- Teething can
start as early a 3 months and continue to 3
years old.
Teething normally
start to break through the gum from at around six to
nine months old. Usually the lower or bottom front
teeth come through first, followed by the top front
teeth (central incisors) and then the top and bottom
incisors either side (lateral incisors). Most
children will have around eight teeth by their first
birthday, although this is just an average vary from
infants to infants.
In case of permanent teeth phenomenon are different
as compared to earlier teething.
Second
teeth usually begin to appear at about 5 or 6 years
old. These erupt
in the following order as 1st molar 6 years, then
central and lateral incisors 6 to 8 years, canines
and premolars- 9 to 12 years, second molar 12 years
,third molars 18 years or later
Administration of trtracycline to the mother in the
last trimester of pregnancy may lead to
discoloration of deciduous teeth, which start
calcifying at 5h or 6th month of fetal life.
Trtracycline discolors and damages the permanent
teeth if it is administered during infancy and early
childhood.
Many babies feel discomfort while teething. Teething
is difficult task for infants, common problems while
teething are increased dribbling, irritability,
reduced appetite, a tendency to pull at the ears and
an urge to chew on everything babies can get their
hands on. Many babies experience have toilet many
times.
While teething baby does not cause high
temperatures, convulsions or bad diarrhea. Give the
baby a teething ring to chew on, rubbing ice on the
gums, rubber or smooth toys.
Many
parents compare their baby with others, but remember
there is a wide variation among babies in terms of
when their teeth appear. Teething is a normal and
natural process by which an infant begins to cut the
first teeth . It is accepted that the symptoms of
teething vary according to baby to baby. On average,
infants begin teething at six months and by the age
of three years all the first teeth have erupted
Many baby have following symptoms while teething
Stool looseness ,Feeding problems, Smelly urine, do
not sleep properly, Coughing ,crying, Biting,
ear-pulling, Congestion , Sucking, Rash on
face, Decreased appetite.
Many
people feel that , biting is
a sign of teething. Instead of getting upset with your baby
if they bite you, instead, give them something else
for bite such as smooth toys or smooth substance. Some
parents like to freeze juice so
it provides comfort and nutrition at the same time. Always
take care your baby from choking on a large piece.
Kids like chewing on a bone, just like a dog does.
But make sure there aren't any slivers of bone left
on it. Now a day teething biscuits can be a life
saver, but don't give your baby too many as they can
cause tooth decay and many other problem.
Babies like the feeling of a cold spoon, but bend
the handle so they can't injure themselves. Teething
rings are great for sore gums, especially if kept in
the fridge.
