This is national program launched and the main goal
of this program is to minimize the death rate of
child and mother.
The following are the main points
to achieve the mission and give proper guide Nance
for decrease in
1. Infant mortality rate
2. Prenatal mortality rate
3. Under five mortality rate
4. Maternal mortality ratio
5. Proportion of low birth neonates weight
6. Immunization infants and pregnant women
7. Deliveries by trains personnel
8. Antenatal care
9. Vitamin A deficiency blindness

Child survival component contain
the following program
- To give or to alter people about care of newborn
infant ? The major cause of newborn infant death are
prematurely and low birth weight, birth
asphyxia, pneumonia and diarrhea care means how to
prevent newborn from infection to give information
about exclusive breast feed, referral of stick
newborn. Also deliveries at institutions and by
trained personnel are promoted.
- Give proper immunization to your
child. The
vaccines include three dose of DPT and OPV and one
dose eachof measles and BCG vaccines ,HIB vaccine and
also polio dose. Give 2 dose of tetanus toxoid to
pregnant mother. In addition to normal immunization
schedule, pulse polio immunization campaigns have
been started.
- Give proper instruction about management of
diarrhea First stage is giving ORS to child
when diarrhea symptoms are occurred.
- Also give prevention from acute respiratory infection. The main sign of acute respiratory infection
is chest in drawing, high respiratory rate ,inability
to drink.
- Promotion of breast feeding and also increase in take of green
leafy vegetables and yellow fruits
to enhance vitamin A intake.
Safe motherhood component contain:
- Give dose of tetanus, and also give proper
immunization according to schedule.
- Prevention and treatment of anemia.
- Proper guidenance about antenatal care and early
identification of maternal complication.
- Deliveries by trained personnel .
- Management of obstetric emergencies.
- Give guidenance about spacing between the birth.
