Handicapped child means "children's who cannot
achieve their full potential for physical growth
intellectual behavior and social development". It is
difficult or not easy to estimate the true
prevalence of handicapped childerns. The handicapped
may vary in severity from mild handicapped to
severe. Following are possible reason or
causes when child is handicapped
1.Some neurological handicapped are mental
retardation, learning disabilities, paralysis after
poliomyelitis, infection of nervous system,
degenerative disorder of some muscular system,
cerebral palsy, other birth defects of the central
nervous system
2.Handicapped child means partial or complete
blindness due to bacterial infections.
3.Defect in speech and hearing such as deaf
mutism, partial loss of hearing.
4.Defect in bone and joint ,joint lesion.
5.Cogenital or acquired heart disease defect in
alimentary system.
